Wilson goal gives Blazers win

Somerset Eagles 0
Boulevard skipper Angelo Simmons praised his team's work ethic as his side beat Somerset Eagles at White Hill Field.
A Temiko Wilson strike early in the second half settled matters between the two sides, with the visitors claiming their first road win of the season.
Wilson scored in the 47th minute in what proved to be the winning blow in a match that was full with missed opportunities.
"It was a hard fought win today, we fought hard and got three crucial points," said Simmons.
"We are not at full strength but we knew we could come here and get a result as long as we worked hard and that is what happened.
"Once we got the goal it was important for us to not go looking for something else that wasn't in our plans.
"We knocked the ball around and could have got another at the end, but we played our brand of football and got the win."
Eagles midfielder Daniel Andrade had a chance to put the hosts up in the fifth minute but didn't make the most of his opportunity before Simmons also let a guilt edge chance go begging when Winslow Williams made a fine save.
The hosts were the biggest culprits of missed chances with striker Shakir Smith hitting everything but the back of the net, including missing an empty net with Blazers 'keeper Shejuan Swan scrambling back to his line.
For all their missed opprtunities, it took Wilson's first effort on target in the 47th to make the difference, with the tall striker being rewarded for his tireless running throughout the match with the simple task of putting his effort away from close range.
Eagles had a few chances after going down, with Smith and strike partner Darrin Dowling both missing chances, while Andrade saw his effort late in the match come of the foot of the post.
Boulevard almost went two up after a Swan save led to a quick counterattack that led to Wilson being pulled by his jersey.
Simmons, who played for Bermuda Hogges in the PDL last summer, hit the ensuing free kick wide.
With time running out, Eagles tried to get the equaliser but a steely Blazers defence made sure they went home with all three points.
"We are looking good heading into the game against Dandy Town, we just need to continue to concentrate and prepare ourselves for the next match," added Simmons.
