Bermuda's rising basketball player Erica Woods couldn't prevent Great Britain from losing to Greece in their opening European Championships B Division game.

Woods, who was selected for Great Britain Under-20s at the European Championship Games held in Macedonia and Greece, chipped in with 11 points in her competitive debut on Monday.

Last month Woods, 17, revealed she would be continuing her basketball education at Marshall University in West Virginia.

She said it was not an easy decision to decide to represent Great Britain but said the chance to reach the 2012 Olympics in London was too good to turn down.

Woods made a big impression at the IMG Academies in Florida where she has been honing her skills in preparation for taking the next step of her promising career.
