Bermuda international made his second pre-season appearance for Vancouver Whitecaps' in a 4-0 defeat against MLS new-boys Seattle Sounders.

Burgess came on after 45 minutes in a closed-door friendly at Sounders' Qwest Field on Sunday. Nate Jaqua and Fredy Montero both scored braces for the MLS expansion side who traded Khano Smith to New York Red Bulls earlier this month.

Earlier last week Whitecaps kicked-off their pre-season programme with a 3-1 win over Trinity Western University at the Burnaby Lake Sports Complex, with Burgess played the second half.

The 22-year-old winger recently signed for the defending USL-D1 champions on a two-year-contract after impressing their scouts during a invitational trial.
