Date set for abandoned match
St.David's' rearranged match against BAA Wanderers will be held at Lord's on Sunday, March 21, Bermuda Football Association (BFA) confirmed yesterday.
Last week the BFA upheld St. David's appeal against awarding BAA maximum points for the abandoned First Division match between the two teams.
That game, played on January 19, was cut short when a plastic bottle was thrown onto the BAA Field pitch during the latter stages of the match, and with St. David's leading 4-0.
A BFA probe concluded the act was committed by a supporter "sympathetic" with St. David's and awarded BAA the points and a score of 3-0.
But the BFA altered their stance because the match was abandoned prior to the amount of time required to constitute a match, and therefore ordered the game to be replayed."
