Greenslade and Mahoney win honours

Royal Bermuda Yacht Club sailors Joshua Greenslade and Thomas Mahoney were crowned the national champions in the two man Club 420 Dinghy at the weekend.

The regatta was organised by the combined clubs, RBYC and hosts, the Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club.

Twelve races were sailed in the Great Sound over the two days with the sailors having to deal with challenging breezy conditions, particular on Sunday's final day.

Bermuda Sailing Association (BSA) president, Tim Patton, presented Greenslade and Mahoney with silver trays after the duo amassed an impressive 10 first place finishes after discarding their two allowed drop races.

Dimitri Stevens (RBYC) and crew Trey Joinville came second and were the first junior team (under-18), while Kyle Burgess (RBYC) and crew Emi Froud finished in third place.
