Healy in Windies sevens' squad
Bermuda rugby international Tom Healy will join a West Indies select side at the end of this month for the Punta del Este International Seven-A-Side Tournament in Uruguay in January.
The Renegades scrum-half is the Island's only representative in the 10-man squad for the tournament where the West Indies will take on the likes of Italy, Fiji, Tonga, Samoa, Argentina, Uruguay and Chile.
Having recently competed in, and won, the Trinidad and Tobago Enthusiasts International Invitational Sevens Tournament, the Caribbean side's participation in the Uruguay event is the second part of their build-up for the IRB Sevens World Series in Hong Kong in March.
Players from the squad who competed in Trinidad, and the ones who will play in Uruguay, will then be selected for a final squad to travel to Hong Kong.
West Indies head coach, Joe Whipple, is satisfied that his team's preparation for the Sevens World Series is progressing well and said that he was "confident that they will step up to the excitement and challenge ahead".
West Indies squad: Devon Woodsede (Prop, Bahamas), Jeremico Cooper (centre, Bahamas), Tom Healy (scrumhalf, Bermuda), Luther Burrell (utility, England Under-19), Andre Cabera (prop, Trinidad), Jason Clarke (prop, Trinidad), Albert Larose (scrum-half, Guyana), Clauduius Butts (back, Guyana), Kevin Mckenzie (utility, Guyana), Hollis Gree (back, St. Vincent).
