At Bernard Park Somerset Trojans stumbled to stay among the promotion teams when they failed to win against Social Club.

From the outset they dominated and it was a surprise they were held from scoring until the 45th minute when Adrian Burrows put them ahead.

The goal came just after the same player had missed from the penalty spot, his effort being well saved by 'keeper Anthony Swan.

It took an opportunistic goal from Social Club's top scorer Clay Darrell to pull them level after 68 minutes but the Trojans continued to add pressure.

Social Club were unable to take advantage of the Trojans' flaws up front, the home side's attack being denied by the West Ender's defenders Desmond Burgess and Darren Minors.

Prospect United 1 BAA 0

Hosts Prospect United chalked up their fifth win of the season, but left it late before seeing off a dogged BAA at Police Field yesterday.

With the match seemingly heading for a stalemate, Prospect's Derek Hendrickson was given just enough room to nod in his team's winner from a corner in stoppage time that left the Green knights completely gutted.

Paget 0 St. David's 3

In one of their best performances of the season visiting St. David's scored a comprehensive three-goal victory over home side Paget.

The Islanders led 1-0 at the half on a goal by Del Tyrrell after 15 minutes and then added two more after the break with Dano Outerbridge scoring after 50 minutes and Aaron Lugu converting a penalty after 70 minutes

X Roads 0

St. George's Colts 3

St. George's Colts had to settle for a mere three-goal triumph at Garrison field as it really should have been more.

With four teams battling for the two promotion spots third-place Colts may look back at this game and regret not doing better if it takes goal-average to determine the promotion race.

Jade Foggo, Allan Douglas Jr. and Jarreau Hayward were their scorers but so many should have had their names on the scoresheet.

Not even the presence of player-coach Brian Anderson in midfield for X Roads could deny Colts from taking the upperhand, yet for their dominance they were only one-nil at half time.

In the second half Colts scored twice, the first coming from Douglas after 49 minutes and the second from Hayward after 70 minutes.

Crane, Basden and Foggo followed with lots of chances afterwards but their finishing was just wayward.

Douglas' best chance came after 79 minutes after he rounded the fallen 'keeper but his goal-bound shot was cleared off the line by full-back Kao Astwood.

Ireland Rangers 2

Somerset Eagles 3

Roger Brangman came through with the clinching goal two minutes into injury time to give visiting Eagles victory and remain at the head of the First Division.

Brangman's strike came a minute after Jonathon Bean snatched the equaliser for the home side, but Eagles roared back to snatch maximum points.

Leaders by a two-point margin over second place St. David's, Eagles took an early lead through Giovan Logie after 15 minutes only to see Bean equalise for Rangers after 30 minutes.

Troy Tucker re-established Eagles' one-goal lead after 35 minutes and it seemed sufficient to lead the visitors to victory but at the very end and a minute into injury Bean stunned Eagles with another equaliser for the home side.

But like fighting Tigers, Eagles piled on the pressure and Brangman delivered with his spot kick. Rangers had two players sent off, Curtis Grant getting his orders after 35 minutes and Sheroy Fubler after 92 for causing the penalty.
