Bermuda Football Association have opted for a mixture of youth and experience in selecting the 26-man Under-23 squad to play Trinidad and Tobago in the visitors' upcoming tour of the Island.

Led by national academy head coach Scott Morton, Bermuda will square off against their Caribbean counterparts in a two-match series, with Trinidad also playing league champions Devonshire Cougars during their stay.

Members of the squad include overseas players Freddy Hall, Tahj Bell, Jason Davis and Seion Darrell while experienced players such as senior internationals Darius Cox and Keishen Bean have also been drafted in.

Two players that are excited about the prospect of lining up against the Caribbean powerhouse are strikers Antwan Russell and Angelo Simmons, both of whom should test their opponents' back line.

Russell believes the side have what it takes to make a name for themselves.

"It is always good to be called up for your national team and we will look to show what we are worth and get some good results," said Russell.

"I have played with a lot of them either at the youth levels coming through the national set- up or at Dandy Town, so I am quite accustomed to playing with most of them. It will fun to go out there and represent Bermuda.

"When you look at the whole scenario that has played out with Christmas now being available for breaks, this is what the country needed and especially for those who have a chance to come into the new set-up.

Simmons added; "It is a good thing to have these guys coming. It should be a good experience, to show us what type of level they are playing at as well as how far we have come along, so it should be a good few games.

"These matches give us a chance to gauge ourselves against a Caribbean power and if we can get something out of this, the whole Caribbean will not look at us the same way they previously have."
