Bermuda sprinter Jeneko Place has qualified for Sunday's 200 metre finals at the inaugural Youth Olympics in Singapore.
The 16-year-old placed fourth in his heat with the fifth fastest time (21.76 seconds) to reach the Games' 'A' final.
Donna Watson, Bermuda Track and Field Association (BTFA) President, said: "(Jeneko) didn't have a good lane for the race, the outside lane, and did not run his best time so hopefully he should run a faster time in the finals."
Middle distance runner Taylor Ashley-Bean finished eighth in her heat in the 1000 metres and will compete in the 'B' final on Monday.
In sailing, Owen Siese lies in fourth place in the boys Byte CII event. Yesterday was a rest day.
