Promoted Eagles face baptism of fire

Devonshire Cougars will begin the defence of their Premier Division crown away to Somerset Eagles at White Hill Field when the league begins on October 4.

Kenny Thompson's new boys will face a baptism of fire against the reigning champions, while the other promoted side, Somerset Trojans begin their season in the top flight with a trip to Wellington Oval to face Hamilton Parish.

In the First Division, the two new clubs, Robin Hood and MR Onions, play each other in the first game to be played on the newly-laid Field Turf at BAA Field.

See tomorrow's Royal Gazette for your cut-out and keep guide to the new season, with a full month-by-month listing of who plays where and when.
