'Sir' Stanley race set for Sunday
Swan's Running Club will host their annual 'Sir' Stanley Burgess 5K road race on Sunday – a final warm-up for runners who have entered the May 24 Marathon Derby.
The race, in memory of May 24 legend Stanley Burgess who won the Island's premier road race 12 times, starts on Gymnasium Road at 8.30 a.m. for walkers and runners under 15 years old, and 9 a.m. for adults and junior runners over 15.
Entry forms are available at Sportseller, Washington Mall and must be returned by 4.30 p.m. today. Late entries will be accepted at Devonshire Rec. from 1p.m. and 3 p.m. tomorrow.
All athletes must be BTFA members to compete. Runners can enter online at www.raceday.bm
