Bermuda long jumper Tyrone Smith will be competing in the qualifying rounds of the World Championships in Berlin today.

The 23-year-old, who qualified for the event via a wildcard, is hoping he can reach the finals which take place on Saturday.

Smith narrowly missed out on booking his place in the finals at the Beijing Olympics last summer, ultimately finishing 14th.
