Top ITF coach in Bermuda
The International Tennis Federation (ITF) have sent their Development Officer for the Caribbean, Anthony Jeremiah, to Bermuda for a nine-day coaching course to be held at the WER Joel Stadium.
Twenty of Bermuda's top coaches will be attending the course, which starts today and ends next Sunday.
The course will encompass a wide range of issues, from how to win a point right up to how to structure programmes for players of all levels.
Bermuda Lawn and Tennis Association (BLTA) president David Lambert said as a result of the course the quality of the game in Bermuda would be improve.
"This will definitely enforce the fact that the coaches on the Island are up to date," said Lambert. "The course is Level One and many of the coaches on the Island are registered.
"The ITF strongly recommended us getting our coaches certified and learn some of their coaching techniques.
"It is important that our coaches are up to date and ensure that the governing body of tennis recognises Bermuda as a country that is moving forward."
