Tyrell in trials with Rowdies

Bermuda international Tyrell Burgess is having trials with National American Soccer League (NASL) team Tampa Bay Rowdies.

Burgess, 23, is one of 44 players taking part in this week's invite only player combine at the Ed Radice Sports Complex.

The Rowdies have been reformed after a 17-year absence and will play in the United States second tier next season. Paul Dalglish, the son of former Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish, coaches the side.

Vancouver Whitecaps released former North Village winger, Burgess, last month after one season with the former United Soccer League Division One (USL-D1) side.

He made 23 appearances for Whitecaps last term, scoring one goal. Whitecaps have also joined the newly set-up NASL
