Uganda fly in for four- match tour
Bermuda will begin their long climb back to cricketing respectability next month when they face Uganda in their first Intercontinental Shield match at the National Sports Centre.
A miserable performance at the World Cup qualifiers in South Africa in April saw the national team relegated from the ICC Intercontinental Cup, the Associate nation's top competition, to the newly created Intercontinental Shield.
Uganda will be Bermuda's first opponents in the competition, arriving on the Island to play a four-day game from August 17-20.
The two sides will then play two 50-over games on August 22, 23, with the tour ending with a Twenty20 game on August 24.
The tour is likely to be Gus Logie's last act as Bermuda coach, with his contract running out at the end of September.
While the cricket board are still in the process of searching for a replacement, any annoucement is likely to come after the Uganda tour has finished.
