Action from Saturday's Under-14s and Under-17s All-Star matches at the National Sports Centre.

The West End's young cricketers won the battle of the bragging rights with a pair of wins over their Eastern rivals in last weekend's All-Star games at the National Sports Centre (NSC).

In the Under-14 All-Star match, the West won by 18 runs with Ayinde DeSilva claiming the Most Valuable Player award after picking up four wickets for just 13 runs.

The West batted first scoring 115 for three before reducing their opponents to 97 for nine from 20 overs.

They also triumphed in the Under-17 All-Star match with a convincing 78 run victory.

Batting first, the West amassed 151 for five before skittling the East out for just 78 runs from 15 overs.

All-rounder Chikosi Basdenm, who scored 94 not out and took two wickets, was named MVP.

Also on Saturday, the Bermuda Cricket Board (BCB) held their girl's development team prize presentation.

David Moore, the national team men's coach, was on hand to present the trophies.
