Dear Mr Editor,The love for the game and the total commitment to training, does not a good cricketer make, but opportunity can help the player and the country.I have just read the articles about Dennico Hollis on not being selected for the T20 Tournament next month in Dubai.Dennico Hollis has always been the kind of player that every coach wants, committed and hard working.He will give the coach 110 percent every time and helps to motivate the other players. Though he is not a natural bat, his batting has improved.It appears that the coaches he has had over the years, cannot get what they need from him in this area to make him an easy selection. This has to be a nightmare for the coach.Hollis wonders if he is being used? Well. With his many years of commitment to the BCB and being a standby player many times, I think that the BCB should send Hollis to a batting academy. He has earned and deserves the opportunity. They have sent players overseas that have had far less commitment to national cricket then Hollis and most of these players are not there now.Although Hollis is very disappointed, he still wants to stay on. If he is not good enough to make the team, then help him to to be better. We cannot lose the committed players.Gerald L Bean
