Armstrong builds on Carifta showing
Nathan Armstrong had two podium finishes in the Passaic County Outdoor Track Championships at Wayne Hills High School in New Jersey this week.
Armstrong, a pupil at Pompton Lakes High School in New Jersey, finished second in the 1,600-metres final on Tuesday in a time of 4min 36.20sec and second in the 3,200 metres in 9:55:89.
He was also ninth in the 800, clocking a time of 2:04.52.
At the Carifta Games in Cayman Islands last month, Armstrong won the silver medal in the under-17 3,000 in 9:13.13 and finished third in the 1,500 with a personal best time of 4:11.57.
Armstrong is preparing to represent Bermuda in the North American, Central American and Caribbean Championships Under-18 and Under-23 Championships in Queretaro, Mexico, this summer.
