Carifta set for May 24 launch
Bermuda Day celebrations on Friday will also coincide with the official launch of the island's hosting of the Carifta Games next year.
A number of the island's top runners including Sean Trott, Cal Steede, Domico Watson, David Lunn, Victoria Fiddick, Ryan Outerbridge, Edwina Arorash, Mayberline Black, Kayla Raymond, Carol Griffith and Gilda Cann, will be taking on the Bermuda Day Half Marathon wearing Carifta 2020 running vests to help mark the occasion.
The Bermuda National Athletics Association will also have an entry in the Bermuda Day Parade featuring past and present Carifta Games athletes showcasing medals from past Games.
The Carifta Games in Bermuda will take place from April 10 to 13, with the opening ceremony on Friday, April 9, kicking off with a torch relay. Bermuda hosted the Games in 2004 and 2012.
