BEPRO offers personal finance lunch seminars
Bermuda’s Emerging Professionals (BEPRO) will be hosting a three-part series of “Lunch and Learns” which will focus on personal finance.Some of the Island’s top financial institutions including banks, insurance companies, and asset management businesses will partner with BEPRO to make presentations aimed at broadening and enhancing attendees’ understanding of finance.The series is free for members, and $10 per session for non-members, who can pay $20 for the whole three-part series. Some of the topics will include saving, insurance, online investing and mutual funds.The sessions begin on June 28 from 12pm to 1pm at the Chamber of Commerce on Front Street with light refreshments being served. The first one will focus on personal finances and the featured speakers are Elyse Scott from Capital G and Miguel DaPonte from BF&M.The second, entitled “Finance 101” will take place on Tuesday, July 12 and will focus on the nature of equities, bonds, certificates of deposit, current market conditions and future trends.The final session on “How to Invest” will be held on Tuesday, July 19 and will focus on risk tolerance, mutural funds, bonds equities and commodities, as well as online investing and discretionary management.For more information, view the BEPRO website, www.bepro.com, or e-mail info[AT]bepro.bm
