Constituency #4 - St. George's South - Senator Phillip Perinchief
Philip Perinchief is currently the Attorney General of Bermuda and Minister of Justice in the Upper House. Involved in Bermudian politics and trade unionism since the age of twenty-one, he was a candidate for the PLP in both the 1989 and 1993 General Elections. He is a former member of both the PLP Youth Wing and The Bermuda Dock Workers division of the B.I.U.
Philip received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Economics and a Bachelor of Education in Mathematics, History and English from Dalhousie University. He then went on to earn his Masters of Arts in Economics, Statistics and Public Finance at York University in Toronto. Furthering his already impressive credentials, Philip then earned his LLB at Osgoode Hall Law School with an emphasis on Criminal, Labour, and Constitutional Law.
A trained teacher, economist and lawyer, Minister Perinchief brings impeccable experience to the current and future PLP Governments. As the PLP candidate for St. George's South his focus will be on a wide range of local constituency issues including improving and repairing dangerous walls, road and fences and the creation of an economic empowerment zone. He is an advocate for a state-of-the art Southside Medical Centre, a Westcott Road/Ferguson Park Community park, increased street lighting and traffic controls. As a resident of St. David's, Philip is a proponent for the establishment of an Indian Heritage Museum & Monument and the inclusion of St. David's as the 10th Parish.
Given his experience, education and dedication to hard work and social justice, Philip Perinchief is a formidable candidate who will continue to assist the PLP in 'Moving Bermuda Forward.'
