Kenny Bascome is well known both in St George’s and elsewhere in Bermuda. He is especially known for his work with young people, but has been a maverick political activist. Kenny has always been actively involved in community matters, especially St. George’s town affairs. He has run a handful of small businesses and brings to the table a solid set of entrepreneurial skills.

Kenny currently serves as an elected representative on the St. George’s Corporation. He currently serves as the Deputy Mayor of St. George’s and is the Chairman of the Sewage, Sanitation and Streets Committee. Within his community, Kenny is also highly active, as the Manager of the St. David’s County Cricket Club Soccer Team, a volunteer at the Windreach Recreational Village and a mentor in the island’s correctional facilities.

In 2002, the Bermudian Magazine honoured him with a Bermuda Gold Award for being the Most Effective Community Activist of the year. He has been married to wife Rochelle for 26 years. Kenny is proud to call St. George’s his home and always treats his fellow Bermudians with that special small town touch.
