A former prosecutor, Mark is one of Bermuda’s leading defense attorneys.
Raised by his mother and grandmother on Ord Rd, Mark attended Gilbert Institute and then Warwick Academy where he was named Head Boy in his final year. After earning his degree in Education, he taught at Sandys Secondary School before returning to England for his law degree.
Mark served as a Crown Counsel in the Attorney General’s Chambers in 1991 and is a former member of the Legal Aid Committee. He received a judicial appointment in 2003 and sat as an acting Magistrate for three years. He is currently a partner at law firm Wakefield Quin.
In 1999, he got his first taste of frontline politics when he was appointed a United Bermuda Party Senator.
Mark enjoys sports, particularly karate, in which he has a Black Belt, and hockey, in which he has taken the field for Bermuda. He has two children, Zach and Sophie.
Did you know...
Mark captained the Bermuda Chameleons Field Hockey team in the Pan American Club Championships in 2001 and represented the Island in the 1996 Karate World Championships. In recent years, he has developed a passion for rock climbing. On the quieter side, he enjoys cooking and playing guitar.

* Combating crime through increased community police patrols, active Neighbourhood Watch programmes and the introduction of mobile Police stations.
* Saving Bermuda’s dwindling open spaces wherever possible.
* Working to improve education standards in our school system.
* Improving road safety for pedestrians and installing traffic mirrors at busy intersections such as Burnt House Hill and Middle Road.
