Government has named Lucinda (Cindy) Pearman as the new Collector of Customs.She takes over from Winnifred Fostine-DeSilva, who retired from the post in April after a 41-year career with the Customs Department.Mrs Pearman began her career as a Customs Officer at age 18 and was promoted through the ranks.Continued the spokeswoman: “Mrs Lucinda Pearman, overall, has thirty-four years’ experience working in the Customs Department and brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to the post of Collector.“In addition, her qualifications in human resource certification and management certification are a testament of her lifelong commitment to the profession.”
