Independent candidate David W Burch yesterday moved to set the record straight on what he termed “voter confusion” over his identity.Mr Burch, who is vying for a seat in Warwick South East, held a press conference to explain that he was not Lt Col David Arnold Burch “who illegally brought the Uighurs into Bermuda”.He told media gathered at City Hall that he has encountered several constituents who “have him confused with the other David Burch”.Former Senator and Cabinet Minister Lt Col Burch is the Progressive Labour Party candidate for Warwick North Central. He is running against One Bermuda Alliance candidate Wayne Scott.Mr Burch is running against PLP candidate Lawrence Scott and OBA candidate Alexis Swan.
