Seeing red: Nandi Outerbridge at the Throne Speech
One Bermuda Alliance MP Nandi Outerbridge has made an official apology to the House of Assembly for making “inappropriate comments”.
The apology was read out at the start of Friday’s session by Randy Horton, the Speaker of the House.
The “inappropriate comments” relate to remarks made by Ms Outerbridge on July 17 this year.
Responding to comments from Opposition MPs about the wearing of red, the OBA’s party colour, the St George’s West MP replied with a jocular remark on the colour of her underwear.
Mr Horton said: “She has given assurances that it will not happen again. I consider the matter closed.”
