Senators and MPs will turn out this morning for the Convening of the Legislature, when a Throne Speech is to be delivered by the Governor.

Plans for the next parliamentary session, to be announced today, are expected to include an increase in taxi fares as well as work to set up a uniformed services cadet training programme.

Legislators are expected to make their way to the Cabinet Office lawn after proceedings begin at Veritas Place.

Rena Lalgie, the Governor, is scheduled to give the Throne Speech on behalf of the Government.
