Jagoda joins Aeolus Capital Management

Aeolus Capital Management Ltd has appointed Nicholas Jagoda as a partner and portfolio manager of Bermudian-based Aeolus after fulfilling his obligations with Elementum Advisors, LLC, where he is currently a partner and portfolio manager.

Mr Jagoda first became involved with investments in collateralised reinsurance when he joined Stark Investments in 2006. He was part of the original team that launched Elementum in 2009 and played a key role in the subsequent founding of Elementum (Bermuda) Ltd in 2011.

Andrew Bernstein, managing partner and chief executive officer of Aeolus, said: “I have long considered Nick to be one of the stand-out portfolio managers in the ILS asset class and I am thrilled to be adding someone of his calibre to Aeolus. Our ability to attract best-in-class talent continues to enhance Aeolus' capabilities as a premier manager of reinsurance risk. We are excited to welcome Nick to our portfolio management team, operating committee and partnership.”

Aeolus Capital Management Ltd manages capital on behalf of investors seeking the superior risk adjusted returns and diversification benefits available from investing in the property catastrophe reinsurance and retrocession market. It manages over $4 billion of assets on behalf of institutional investors globally.
