Ironshore’s Pembroke Syndicate 4000 has announced that Marc McLean has joined its personal accident and health insurance business.Mr McLean will serve as head of the personal accident division, reporting to Timothy Glover, active underwriter of Pembroke Syndicate 4000, based in the UK.“We are pleased that Marc has joined the Ironshore team to help us broaden Pembroke’s presence within Lloyd’s for our Personal Accident and Health unit,” said Mr Glover. “His highly regarded reputation in the marketplace and extensive knowledge of these specialty personal insurance lines make him a well-suited match for our UK operation.”Mr McLean has more than 20 years experience as an underwriter working with various leading accident and health syndicates. Most recently, he was the class underwriter, accident and health, for the Argo Managing Agency (Syndicate 1200).His experience spans various lead underwriting positions with such companies as Euclidian Underwriting Ltd. (Syndicate 1243/Marlborough Underwriting Agency Ltd. Syndicate 1861), among others.
