The Bermuda Supreme Court has sanctioned the Official Receiver, the liquidator of the defunct Bermuda branch of the British American Insurance Comapany, to hold a meeting of the creditors on May 19.The scheme of arrangement drawn up to give life insurance policyholders some of their money back will return no more than 50 cents on the dollar to policyholders.Before the creditors’ meeting, due to be held at the Ruth Seaton James Centre at CedarBridge Academy, there will be two information meetings held on April 26 and May 3.Liquidators say they expect policyholders to receive the scheme documents this week after they were mailed last Friday.The website, www.kpmg.bm/ba, also includes this information.For more information, call 294-2651
