Premier attends welcome party for new Willis Re Bermuda CEO

Willis Re Bermuda’s new chief executive officer Michael Harden is in place at the helm of the Par-la-Ville Road company.

Willis announced that Premier helped to celebrate the chief executive’s arrival by attending cocktail party to welcome new CEO of Willis Re Bermuda

A press release stated that guests of honour were the Premier Craig Cannonier, along with the Minister of Home Affairs, Senator Michael Fahy, the Minister of Education and Economic Development Grant Gibbons, the Minister of Finance ET (Bob) Richards, and the permanent secretary, Education and Economic Development, Ross Webber.

The event was held at Pier 6 on Front Street in Hamilton, and also in attendance were Willis Group’s top executives including Dominic Casserley, CEO of Willis Group, John Cavanagh, CEO of Willis Re and Peter Hearn, chairman of Willis Re, as well as a variety of other senior Willis executives, guests from the Bermuda Monetary Authority and a wide range of insurers, reinsurers, banks and other professional services firms from the Island.

John Cavanagh, CEO of Willis Re, said: “It’s always a pleasure to come to Bermuda. The Island is incredibly important to Willis, particularly to our reinsurance operations. As such we are continually investing in our business here, and tonight’s party to introduce Michael Harden as the new CEO of Willis Re Bermuda represents another investment by Willis in Bermuda and further demonstrates our commitment to the Island.”
