Insurance group Ace has announced its 2015 graduate trainee.

Dominique Richardson will now join the company’s professional lines department on a two-year graduate training programme.

Ms Richardson, a business administration graduate of Barry University in Florida with an M.Sc. in Finance from Nottingham Trent University in England, previously served two summer internships with Ace.

“I believe the graduate trainee programme will provide me with the necessary technical skills, resources and professional support to pursue my career goal of becoming a qualified underwriter.”

Ms Richardson, a former pupil at the Berkeley Institute, has won several academic honours as well as athletic scholarships from both her universities.

She maintained National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) athlete status throughout her studies and has also represented the country on the women’s football and netball teams.

Ace chief underwriting officer Judy Gonsalves said: “Ace remains committed to providing learning and development opportunities for young Bermudians.

“The goal of our graduate trainee programme is to identify and develop outstanding talent and build a pool of insurance professionals who will become the future leaders of our industry.

“Historically, both the Ace graduate trainee and the Ace select internship programmes have provided us with a some impressive and highly talented employees.

“Dominique will be no exception and we are very pleased to welcome her to Ace Bermuda.”
