World Captive Forum role for Appleby’s Fox

Eduardo Fox

Eduardo Fox will speak at the World Captive Forum in Florida, which starts on Sunday.

The Appleby Bermuda LatAm manager is joining more than 50 executive representatives and industry experts who will speak at the forum, which is one of the longest running international captive insurance conferences in the world.

Mr Fox is moderator for a panel titled “Captives in Emerging Markets.” The session will provide an in-depth analysis of key issues facing captives across the developing captive markets of Latin America and Asia.

Mr Fox will also participate in a round table discussion on a variety of technical subjects related to captive investments and other captive issues related to emerging markets.

He is co-leader of Appleby’s Latin America team and works with major economies in the region, such as Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Panama, Peru and Venezuela.

Mr Fox also serves as official adviser for Latin American Affairs to both the Bermuda Government and the Bermuda Insurance Managers Association.

The event in Florida takes place at Boca Raton from Sunday to January 31. While there, Mr Fox will collaborate with the Bermuda Business Development Agency to promote Bermuda as “the premier captive domicile”, according to a statement from Appleby.

“Representing Bermuda and working alongside the BDA at such a fantastic conference is a privilege, and I look forward to both moderating the ‘Captives in Emerging Markets’ panel as well as participating in the round table discussions,” said Mr Fox.

“The World Captive Forum’s longevity is a testament to the quality of its high-calibre, exclusive audience, educational content and superior industry expertise.

“Bermuda has enjoyed remarkable growth and success in captive interest, and I look forward to sharing industry knowledge with other key players in the captive industry at the World Captive Forum.”
