Axis Insurance has entered into an agreement with a renewable energy expert services company to give it greater insight into risks and opportunities in the renewable energy industry.

There has been a relationship between Axis and The Renewables Consulting Group, which is based in London, for a number of years.

Axis Insurance, a business segment of Bermudian-based Axis Capital Holdings Limited, has now entered into a global consultancy services framework agreement with RCG.

The agreement covers technical, commercial and management consulting services for Axis Insurance’s portfolio of renewable energy assets.

In a statement, Axis said the agreement will enable it to provide insured clients and brokers with “enhanced value and industry leading services”.

It is also expected that RCG will assist Axis with claims investigations, expert witness services, management consulting and market intelligence reporting.

Richard Carroll, global head of renewable energy at Axis Insurance, said: “RCG has provided exceptional support to AXIS Insurance over the past year, including engineering services and project surveys.

“They have strong experience in the renewable energy sector, and we are delighted to have strengthened the relationship to the benefit of our renewables clients.”
