XL Catlin has appointed Claudia Thyme as director of emerging markets development.

She will execute the company’s emerging market strategies, with a particular focus on Latin America.

Ms Thyme has 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, ten years of which have been spent at XL Catlin. In her new role she transfers from the communications and marketing team. She was previously with Zurich Insurance.

Ms Thyme will be based in Zurich, Switzerland.
