Oil Casualty Insurance Ltd has hired Christopher Carpol as senior reinsurance underwriter.

Mr Carpol, who will be responsible for overseeing Ocil’s assumed reinsurance operations, was previously with Tokio Millennium Re Bermuda as assistant vice-president — specialty casualty.

Jerry Rivers, Ocil’s chief operating officer, said: “The reinsurance operation, which began in 2009, is now the company’s largest line of business with written premium of just over $124 million at fiscal year ended November 30, 2017.

“Chris’s experience and specialty underwriting expertise is ideal for the varied types of reinsurance business underwritten by Ocil.”
