Vetch appointed CFO at Hamilton Underwriting

Robert Vetch has joined Hamilton Underwriting Limited as chief financial officer, he succeeds Simon Barrett, who left the company last month.

Dermot O’Donohoe, chief executive officer, said: “We pride ourselves on attracting some of the best talent in the business, and Rob falls squarely into that category. As we continue to explore opportunities for profitable and sustainable growth, Rob’s experience and financial acumen will stand us in good stead.

Hamilton Underwriting Limited is the managing agency of Syndicate 3334 and the Lloyd’s operations of Bermudian-based Hamilton Insurance Group.

Mr Vetch was previously with WR Berkley Corporation, where he held the position of chief financial officer, WRB Underwriting, for nine years. Prior to that he was finance business partner at Brit Global Markets. His experience also includes seven years at QBE Insurance Group Limited and four years at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he specialised in insurance and investment management.
