Murdoch-Smith promoted by Allied World
Bermudian Michael Murdoch-Smith has been promoted by Allied World Assurance Holdings to vice-president, professional lines and team leader of Allied World's Bermuda E&O team.
He oversees professional liability for large law, accounting, architects & engineers and consulting firms. He is also the cyber product lead, responsible for product development, strategy and underwriting.
Colm Singleton, head of Bermuda office, said: “Allied World is proud to advance the careers of Bermudians. “Mike originally joined Allied World's Bermuda office as an underwriting assistant in 2007 and has advanced steadily through the ranks, impressing all who work with him with his intelligence, high service standards and keen focus on meeting client needs.”
Dale Chow, senior vice-president, head of Bermuda professional lines, said: “Mike has distinguished himself with his knowledge and understanding of professional lines products.
“He has also participated on numerous cyber industry conference panels, most recently during the March Net Diligence Conference in Bermuda.”
Mr Murdoch-Smith lives in Devonshire with his wife and two daughters.
