Stephen Catlin, the chief executive officer and chairman of Convex, is on the new advisory board for Whitespace, a fully digital e-trading platform for brokers and insurers.

London-based Whitespace has a number of clients in Bermuda, and in an interview with The Royal Gazette this month said it hoped to attract more to the rapidly growing network.

The advisory board also features Andrew Brooks, chief executive officer of Ascot; Jason Keen, president of Chubb Global Markets; Craig Kingaby, CEO, Meridian Risk Solutions; James Masterton, CEO, Ardonagh Specialty; and Steve McGill, CEO, McGill & Partners. The board will meet quarterly with representation from Whitespace to advise on maturing the international offering of the platform.

Marcus Broome, Whitespace chief platform officer, said: “As we started our second year of operations, it became clear that the global potential of the platform could best be realised by taking advice and support from senior figures from within the insurance market. The agreement of this group of customers to join our new board is a huge compliment and shows their trust in our ability to be able to deliver a product that will suit any organisation, in any location.”

The Whitespace platform currently has 120 customers, based on three continents, with those customers writing and placing across all classes of business. Since the start of 2020, the platform has also seen three major functionality releases and 29 minor releases.
