Whitespace adds video calling to platform

Whitespace, the digital e-trading platform for brokers and insurers, has added video calling and instant messaging capabilities to the platform that links brokers and underwriters.

The platform has clients in Bermuda. Stephen Carlin, chief executive officer and chairman of Convex, is on its advisory board.

Jody Wilkinson, Whitespace head of customer experience, said: “Whitespace has always stressed the importance of the best customer experience. We know many customers are missing the face to face element in the current environment and so we have responded to demand by creating this unique and easy to use enhancement. As we continue to work with more customers in even more locations, this and other features like it will enable a faster and more comfortable trading experience for everyone.”

Whitespace said building its own capability rather than integrating an off the shelf provider, has enabled it to offer immediate chat and video calling without the need to leave the platform, avoiding the need to make a choice between the different video technologies that are in use.
