Axis Capital appoints Shaw and Trivitt
Bermudian-based Axis Capital Holdings has made two appointments, one on each side of the Atlantic.
The global specialty insurer and reinsurer has appointed Andy Shaw as specialty team leader for North American Programmes.
Axis said he will identify and develop profitable growth opportunities, as well as shape the overall direction of the specialty programmes portfolio business.
He will report directly to the head of North American Programmes, Gabriel Galanski, and will work from Axis’s Phoenix office.
Keith Trivitt has been appointed co-head of Global Markets Portfolios.
Axis said he will be jointly responsible with Christine Cook for the development of the portfolio solutions business, including multi-line broker portfolios and facilities, consortiums and “fast-follow” opportunities.
He will continue to be based in London and will report to Axis Global Markets’ head of underwriting, Alistair Robson.
