Simon Crone promoted at Fidelis MGU

Simon Crone has been promoted to the position of group director of underwriting at Fidelis MGU.

The company said he would take up the role alongside his existing position as European Economic Area chief underwriting officer.

Richard Brindle, the chairman and group chief executive, said: “Congratulations to Simon, who has made significant contributions to Fidelis MGU’s growth and market leadership positions, including covering underwriting in both London and Dublin and managing our partnership underwriting.

“This further strengthens our senior team and reflects our ethos of recognising and championing internal talent at all levels of our organisation.”

Fidelis MGU is a privately owned, Bermudian-based managing general underwriter, which, through its subsidiaries, is a global underwriter of property, bespoke and specialty insurance and reinsurance products.
