Amazon risk manager to speak at Bermuda Risk Summit

Soraya Wright, Amazon global head of corporate risk and claims, will be the keynote speaker at the Bermuda Risk Summit next month.

Ms Wright, an industry veteran, serves as a California state commissioner on the fraud assessment committee and created the captive insurance subsidiary for the Clorox Company.

She has also been global president of strategic initiatives at RIMS, the risk management society and has also served on the client advisory board of several notable insurance firms such as FM Global and Willis Towers Watson.

She is a frequent speaker on a range of topics.

Her keynote conversation will be with Patrick Tannock, the chief executive of Axa XL Insurance in Bermuda and chair of the Association of Bermuda International Companies.

Mr Tannock was looking forward to a thought-provoking discussion with Ms Wright.

The Bermuda Risk Summit is presented by the Bermuda Business Development Agency in partnership with the Association of Bermuda Insurers and Reinsurers and EY.

It will run from March 13 to 15 at the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club. Other panels will include Lloyd’s – Bermuda: A Shared Perspective; Legacy Redefined; Risk Revolution: Bermuda’s Journey to Becoming the World’s Risk Capital; Risk Solutions: All Roads Lead to Bermuda; and Market View: Investor Trends.

Potential delegates are encouraged to register before March 1, the end of the summit’s price discount period.

Attendees can download the BDA Connect app to book networking meetings directly with other delegates.
