Axis appoints Pauline Morley

Bermudian-based Axis Capital Holdings Ltd has appointed Pauline Morley as head of E&O in the United States.

Ms Morley will report to John Van Decker, the head of Global Financial Lines. She will lead the growth and advancement of the Axis offering in the professional liability market, aligned with the company’s position as a leading specialty insurer.

Mr Van Decker said: “Pauline brings extensive E&O expertise in addition to proven leadership skills that are integral to building on our position in the professional liability market.

“She will help shape the direction of our portfolio by deepening our existing broker relationships, pursuing additional sectors for profitable growth, and bolstering our existing underwriting strength.

“Pauline joins Axis at an important moment in our journey as we continue to target new opportunities and elevate our specialty insurance solutions in the E&O market.”

The company said Ms Morley joined Axis with more than 35 years of professional liability underwriting and leadership experience, having held senior positions at Western World Insurance Group, Travelers, HCC, and USI.

Most recently, she served as senior vice-president, Miscellaneous Professional Liability and Architects & Engineers Liability at Argo Pro.
