Arcadian Risk Capital Ltd, a Bermudian-based managing general agent, has promoted Paul Connor to group chief operating officer.

Mr Connor is based in Dublin, Ireland, and joined Arcadian in 2021 as chief risk officer. Before joining Arcadian, he was a senior actuarial director at Deloitte.

During his career, he has held numerous actuarial positions, including chief actuary structured reinsurance at Canopius and chief pricing actuary, global insurance, at Alterra.

Mr Connor holds a bachelor of science degree from Trinity College, Dublin.

Arcadian chief executive John Boylan said: ”We are delighted to announce this promotion for Paul, who has been integral to the development of Arcadian over the past four years. His depth of knowledge across all aspects of the business will be invaluable as we drive transformational change.”
