Arch introduces supplemental health suite

Jim Villa, senior vice-president, Arch accident and health, says his firm is making it easier for its distribution partners to deliver health insurance products (Photograph supplied)

Arch Insurance’s accident and health business unit is launching an individual supplemental health product suite.

These new offerings are designed to help individuals manage out-of-pocket expenses not typically covered by major medical plans, including deductibles, coinsurance and out-of-network charges through a variety of benefits including accident medical expense, hospital indemnity, critical illness and accidental death.

A spokesman for the firm said these new products provide an added layer of financial cushion when unexpected health events occur to individuals including employees, independent contractors, gig workers and association members.

They are available with no medical underwriting and are fully portable, allowing policyholders to keep their coverage through job or life changes.

The firm’s digital technology enables partners to generate quotes and complete enrolments in minutes, while a fully licensed call centre provides sales and customer service support for both partners and clients.

Jim Villa, senior vice-president, Arch accident and health, said: “By offering access through our Apex digital platform or seamless application programming interface integration, we are making it easier than ever for our distribution partners to deliver these products efficiently and effectively to their clients.”

Arch Insurance North America, part of Arch Capital Group Ltd, includes Arch’s insurance operations in the US and Canada. Arch Capital Group Ltd is a publicly listed Bermuda exempted company with approximately $22.1 billion in capital as of March 2024.
