PwC announces line-up for 18th Insurance Summit

PwC Bermuda, in partnership with the Financial Times, has announced the roster of industry leaders appearing at its 18th annual Insurance Summit, set for November 12 at the Hamilton Princess Hotel & Beach Club.

The event, considered Bermuda’s flagship insurance and reinsurance gathering, is expected to attract more than 300 attendees from across the global insurance, financial services and professional services sectors.

Confirmed speakers include chief executives from several of the world’s top 25 reinsurers, as well as senior figures from global broking firms, technology companies and regulatory bodies. Kevin O’Donnell, president and CEO of RenaissanceRe, will deliver the keynote address.

Sessions will explore themes shaping the industry, from underwriting and risk management to international tax, corporate income tax and the challenges posed by artificial intelligence, climate change, cyber-risk and geopolitical uncertainty.

Panels will be moderated by PwC Bermuda insurance leaders alongside FT journalists, Lee Harris and Antonie Gara. Among the highlights will be a discussion on Bermuda’s new corporate income tax with Mervyn Skeet, CEO of the Bermuda Corporate Income Tax Agency, and Will Morris, PwC’s global tax policy leader.

Arthur Wightman, PwC Bermuda’s territory and insurance leader, said the summit remains a key forum for global dialogue.

“Bermuda is a crucial point of convergence for global industry influencers, and this event provides unmatched insights from those steering the future of the [insurance and reinsurance] sector,” he said. “As we navigate an era of unprecedented change, this summit serves as a key opportunity for dialogue and collaboration among stakeholders, ensuring that our industry not only adapts but thrives.”

The conference will be held exclusively in person, with attendees able to earn continuing professional education credit.
