Envelop Risk strengthens Bermuda and London teams

Envelop Risk, the cyber reinsurance specialist, has made three senior appointments across its Bermuda and London platforms.

In Bermuda, Michael Murdoch-Smith has joined as senior vice-president and underwriter, reporting to Dominic Peters, chief executive of Envelop Underwriting. He will be responsible for delivering the company’s cyber strategy on the island.

Mr Murdoch-Smith has more than 20 years of industry experience, most recently as head of cyber underwriting at Park Indemnity. He also spent 15 years with Allied World.

Also in Bermuda, JayLynn Hines has been named vice-president and underwriter, reporting to Mr Murdoch-Smith. She brings a decade of experience and previously worked at Ariel Re Bermuda as assistant vice-president and underwriter in cyber, as well as Chubb Canada.

In London, Sarah Kennerley has been appointed vice-president and underwriter, reporting to Chris Baddeley, head of cyber in London. She joins from Axis Capital, where she co-led the open market cyber business, and has nearly a decade of cyber underwriting experience.

Mr Murdoch-Smith added that he was excited to join at a pivotal time in the cyber-risk landscape, noting the importance of forward-thinking solutions and strong client relationships.
