Axis Capital Holdings has appointed Hannah Hosking as head of distribution for its global markets division.

Ms Hosking, who will be based in London, joins the global markets leadership team and reports to Edward Ashby, chief commercial officer. She will work alongside Sara Farrup, head of global markets, and underwriting leaders to strengthen broker relationships and support the company’s growth ambitions.

She brings more than 20 years of industry experience, most recently serving as head of mid-market at Axa XL. Before that, she held senior roles at Chubb, including head of distribution for both Broker and Proposition UKI and Independent Brokers UKI.

“Hannah has a critical role within Axis as we advance our go-to-market approach, elevating broker relationships across the Global Markets division, enhancing the Axis value proposition, and aligning on distribution strategy,” Mr Ashby said.

Ms Farrup added: “Hannah’s market knowledge and broker connections will be invaluable as we continue to drive leadership in speciality underwriting and deepen partnerships across London and global markets.”

Axis Capital, headquartered in Bermuda, is a global speciality underwriter with operations in the US, Europe, Singapore and Canada. The company reported shareholders’ equity of $6.2 billion as of June 30. Its subsidiaries hold an “A+” financial strength rating from Standard & Poor’s and an “A” from AM Best.
