Convergence draws 365 global ILS leaders
ILS Convergence 2025 wrapped up last week after attracting 365 delegates from nine countries to Bermuda for three days of discussion and collaboration on the future of the insurance-linked securities market.
In a post-event press release, organiser ILS Bermuda Ltd said the conference, held from October 13 to 15 at the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club, reinforced Bermuda’s position as the world’s leading hub for ILS and alternative risk transfer, with attendees including investors, asset managers, reinsurers and regulators. Discussions centred on the sector’s resilience, climate risk financing and new opportunities for sustainable growth.
“This year’s Convergence demonstrated the strength, creativity, and collaboration that define Bermuda’s ILS community,” said Jo Stanton, chairman of the event’s steering committee. “Welcoming such a diverse international audience underscores the importance of this platform — not only for advancing shared goals but also for inspiring new ideas that will shape the future of risk transfer.”
Hanni Ali, co-chairman, said the dialogue this year reflected the market’s continued adaptability. “It was inspiring to see so many industry leaders and emerging voices come together to exchange ideas and drive the dialogue forward,” he said. “Bermuda remains a cornerstone of innovation and excellence in this space.”
The event featured keynote presentations, expert panels and networking sessions designed to connect the global ILS community. Sponsors across four tiers were recognised for their continued support.
